Haroldo Jacobovicz, a Brazilian entrepreneur and civil
engineer, has been a significant figure in the transformative world of
information technology and telecommunications . His journey, marked by

influential companies, including Horizons Telecom and e-Governe Group. 

Early Inspirations and Entrepreneurial Ventures 

Born to civil engineer parents, Jacobovicz was inspired from
a young age to create lasting value in the world. His early exposure to
engineering and problem-solving skills laid the foundation for his future
entrepreneurial endeavors. Pursuing a degree in ci vil engineering at the
Federal University of Paraná, Jacobovicz soon realized his passion extended
beyond traditional engineering. This realization led him to explore the
burgeoning field of information technology. 

Jacobovicz’s first venture, Microsystem, founded while still
in college, aimed to automate inventory and cash management for small
businesses. Although short-lived, Microsystem provided Haroldo Jacobovicz  with
invaluable lessons about targeting the right customer audience and the
importance of timing in business. 

The Rise of Horizons Telecom and e-Governe Group 

After gaining experience at Exxon Mobil and Itaipu
Binational, Jacobovicz founded Horizons Telecom  in 2010. The company quickly
became one of Brazil’s most respected telecommunications suppliers, known for
its 100% fiber network and advanced equipment. In 2020, Horizons Datacenter was
launched, enhancing connectivity and cloud capabilities for businesses and
organizations. 

A Blend of Intuition and Analytical Skills 

Jacobovicz’s success can be attributed to his unique blend
of intuition and analytical skills. He believes in the potential of ideas that
initially may not have a rational explanation but show promise. This approach
led him to invest in the first Hard Rock Café in Brazil, a decision that deviated
from his usual tech-focused ventures  but demonstrated his versatility and
business acumen.
