Philly QB Nick Foles discusses winning Super Bowl

For Eagles fans, it seemed is if a Super Bowl win would never happen. After all, the team had been trying for 52 years to break what seem to be a terrible spell. At this year’s Super Bowl, a miracle finally occurred. With the Eagles pitted against one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time, even the most rabid fans had doubts about the team’s likelihood of winning. However, Nick Foles stepped into the role of quarterback with a grace and presence that has rarely been seen in professional sports. After franchise quarterback Carson Wentz was injured earlier in the season, it was up to Nick Foles to step into the role and to win.

Against all odds, he succeeded. And Philly fans, who would been starved of a win for so long, were ecstatic. In fact, they are still overwhelmingly ecstatic. When Nick Foles recently went on Jimmy Kimmel’s late-night talk show, he discussed the passion and pride of the Eagles fans. He also had some hilarious comments regarding his eccentric teammate Jason Kelce, who made one of the most memorable Super Bowl parade speeches of all time. Dressed in a Philadelphia Mummers parade outfit, Kelce Honored the contributions of his teammates, whom he believed had been mistreated by the media. As he described his reaction to the speech, it was easy to see why Nick Foles has been dubbed “Saint Nick” by Philly media.
