Cosmetic surgery is not only her passion but her calling, Dr. Jennifer Walden not only loves what she does, but is loved by her patients. Dr. Walden specializes in aesthetic breast and facial surgery. Born and raised in Austin, Texas, she received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology with honors, from the University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Walden then went on to achieve her Medical Doctorate with Highest Honors, graduating as the Salutatorian from the University of Texas Medical Branch. After completing her residency training, she moved to New York earning a world-renowned fellowship at the Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital, where she could pursue her interest in aesthetic surgery. Her love of the artistry and creativity involved with aesthetic surgery, has driven Dr. Walden to earn a place on some of the most highly respected aesthetic surgical teams in the country.
Manhattan became home to Dr. Walden for almost eight years, opening her practice with her mentor, Sherrell Aston, a practicing plastic surgeon for over 30 years. She not only learned surgical techniques from Aston, but was able to learn the business side of the practice. After the birth of her twin sons, Dr. Walden moved back to Austin so that her sons could be raised surrounded by their loving family members. She was able to rebuild her practice in less than three years, even facing the challenges of being a single parent. Dr. Walden takes great pride in not only being a mother, but helping women feel better about themselves.
She has won many awards during her career journey including the Herman Barnett Memorial Award, and The Mavis P. Kelsey Excellence in Medicine Award. Dr. Walden was the Program Director of the Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital Aesthetic Surgery Fellowship Program, and holds a membership in the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. She is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and fellowship-trained in cosmetic surgery. Her goal within her practice is to educate patients so that they may make well-informed decisions to make them feel and look their best.
Having a supportive loving family and the desire to help others has driven Dr. Walden to achieve success in her field. She not only gives a high level of quality care to her patients, she gives back to her community. Dr. Walden is a principal sponsor and program donor for Food In Tummies (FIT) program, which provides weekend nourishment for low income children in grades K – 5. She not only shares her talent with others, Dr. Walden shares her heart through her love for her Austin community. Dr. Walden is not only one of Austin’s caring residents, she is one of its valued doctors, giving back to her community and her patients.
