CEO of Memorial Health, Maggie Hill Teams up With Eon Health in Providing New Medicare Advantage Plan

Maggie Gill is the President and the CEO of Memorial Health, a healthcare facility in Savannah, Georgia. Gill graduated with a bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature/Letters from Florida State University in 1993. She later joined Saint Leo University, Florida from 1996 to 1998 for her Masters in Business Administration. Gill has training on strategic thinking and management from Wharton School. Maggie Gill serves as a member of the Board at Georgia Hospital Association, Mercer University, Georgia Chamber of Commerce, and Union Mission.

Career Background

After her bachelor’s degree, Maggie joined Tenet Healthcare as the Chief Financial Officer in 1994. Her work at the healthcare facility earned her the Outstanding CFO awards for the year 2001, 2002, and 2003 consecutively. She left the company in 2004 and joined Memorial University Medical Center (MUMC). Margaret Gill served as the vice president of finance and managed care at MUMC. She earned a promotion in the following year and became the chief operating officer, and finally the President and CEO of Memorial Health in 2011. Other institutions that she has served include Palmetto General Hospital, North Shore Medical Center, and Coral Gables Hospital.

Memorial University Medical Center

Memorial University Medical Center is an academic medical facility serving a 35-county area in the southeast of Georgia and southern part of South Carolina. The medical center runs a memorial physician network, medical education program, a 24-hr call center, and other commercial services. Maggie Gill plays various roles in the facility including internal auditing, assisting in the finance department, communications in the company, and the overall management of the facility. She is in charge of maintaining healthy relationships between physicians, the orthopedic and neuroscience programs, government relations, institutions physicians, and the Heart & Vascular Institute.

Collaborations with Eon Health

Maggie Hill, the Memorial Health CEO announced their collaborations with Eon Health in November 2016. The two healthcare facilities have developed a new Medicare Advantage Plan that gives the beneficiaries zero-dollar premiums and the pharmacy services at a reduced price. Other benefits that come with the plan include hospital, hearing, dental, and transportation benefits. The beneficiaries also enjoy the SilverSneakers Fitness Program as well as other rewards program. The residents of Chatham, Bryan, Beaufort, Hampton, Colleton, and Jasper counties in South Carolina and Georgia will enjoy the New Medicare Advantage Program from January 2017. The program is open to everyone including the chronically ill and the people with special needs.
