When recent Saturday Night Live host John Mulaney went on to host at his former workplace, he couldn’t help but reminisce about some of the good times he had while working there. One of his most cherished memories includes the time that Mad Men star Jon Hamm, known for his iconic character Don Draper, stopped by to host. Not only did the staff of SNL dress like Mad Men characters to welcome Hamm, but they also participated in some day drinking before he arrived. Hamm arrived to see a cast of kooky characters that was not only dressed for the sixties, but was also drunk. Mulaney likened it to “drunk Comic Con.” Fortunately for those who participated, many would go on to illustrious careers outside of the iconic show.
Casey Wilson, who was pictured, now hosts a podcast. Bill Hader has become even more famous due to his involvement in Documentary Now! on IFC. Bryan Tucker, along with Colin Jost, has now assumed co-head writer duties, while Amy Poehler is executive producing and starring in a number of vehicles. John Solomon, alongside Will Forte, works on Last Man on Earth and co-wrote the film MacGruber 2. Erik Kenward works on HBO’s award-winning show Veep, while Andy Samberg shines due to his involvement with Brooklyn Nine-Nine. All in all, it would appear that the once drunk cast members went on to do very well in their respective careers!
