Actress Allison Janney admits that she became super-obsessed watching Prince William and Kate the Duchess of Cambridge as they sat four rows ahead of her at the BAFTA Awards in London on Tuesday evening.
The actress talked about it to Jimmy Kimmel on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Wednesday night. Janney won a BAFTA for her role as skater Tonya Harding’s mother in the movie “I, Tonya.”
The actress also recently picked up the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress and the Critics’ Choice Award for Best Supporting Actress for the movie that also stars Margot Robbie.
Allison Janney is hoping for the icing on the cake if she secures the Oscar at the Academy Awards on March 4.
The statuesque star revealed to Kimmel that Kate is also quite tall and wore very high heels. The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting her third child.
Janney says that Will and Kate began making the rounds to congratulate the winners after the show. By that point, Janney’s feet were tired, and she had removed her shoes. She joked to Kimmel that she was embarrassed because she was ready to be greeted by the royal couple and she was “Fred Flintstones-style, barefeet.”
If she should receive the Academy Award, Janney’s counting on a little ghostwriting, says GoldDerby.com. She admits she’d be too freaked out to come up with something incredible to say to the audience.
Janney is asking good Hollywood writers to have something ready for her should she win.
